PunchLog

Questions

Straight answers.

If yours is not here, ask support.

Is PunchLog free?

Yes. PunchLog is free while it is in beta. There is no card to enter and no trial that runs out. Paid plans will come later, and this site will say so before anything changes.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Everything you capture or change is saved on the phone first and syncs by itself when a connection comes back. Basements, elevator shafts and dead zones are the normal case, not an edge case.

Who can see what?

Administrators run the company and see every project that belongs to it. Superintendents run the job and see the projects they are on. Subcontractors see the items assigned to them, and nothing else.

What happens if two people change the same item while offline?

Status changes are checked by the server in the order they arrive, and a subcontractor cannot close an item, so the record stays trustworthy. For other fields the most recent change to reach the server wins. Photos are always added, never replaced.

Can I share or export a report?

Yes. Share the full punch list, or an outstanding-items sheet for one contact grouped floor by floor with signature lines. Photos, markups and floor-plan pins are included. Reports leave the phone as a PDF.

Is it on iPhone and Android?

Yes, both. The download page shows the current state of each store listing.

Where is PunchLog available?

The store listings are for the United States and Canada. This website, including registration, is reachable from anywhere.

Can I use it in a browser?

PunchLog is built for the phone in your pocket on site. A web version exists, but it needs a connection and does not work offline, so the app is the one to use on the job.

What happens to the location data in my photos?

It is removed on the phone before anything is uploaded. GPS coordinates and other camera metadata never leave the device.

Does the app track me or show ads?

No ads, no analytics SDK, no selling of data. The only thing sent anywhere is a crash report when the app hits a fault, kept for 30 days and not tied to your name.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. It removes your sign-in and personal details straight away. Items and photos you added stay with the project as part of the shared record, attributed to “Deleted user”.

Deleting your account

How do I register my company?

On this site. Enter the company name, your name and your work email. A link arrives by email, you choose a password there, and you become the company's first administrator.

Register your company

How do I invite my subs?

From the app, once your company exists. Each person gets an email invite, sets a password from the link, and sees only the work assigned to them.

What happens to my data if I stop using PunchLog?

Your account is yours to delete at any time. Project content stays with the project, because a punch list is a shared construction record, and a whole project can be removed on request.
